PRESENT DAY 68 - Supreme Court Guilty of Treason
Independence Day is a day to celebrate America’s liberation from the tyranny of old world feudalism and monarchy. It’s a day to remember that the only reason Americans are free is because we the people have a hand in our own destiny. Unlike the vast majority of political systems that existed prior to 1776, power in the United States is invested not in a single leader, not in a single branch of government but in three separate branches of government, all of them beholden to the people. The founders did their best at time and under the constraints of unconscious patriarchy and white nationalism to put this down in writing. They got it down well enough so that some of the obvious revisions could be made - and they knew that there would be revisions, which is why they allowed for the possibility of amendments. The first obvious revision had to do with changing the meaning of the word “people” in the phrase “we the people” to include women and people of all races. Obvious though it was, both of these revisions still required amendments to try to effectuate them and very often it came down to the federal government to enforce those amendments when states refused to implement them voluntarily. No doubt this is in part behind the push by the current corrupt Trump “Supreme” Court to hand everything back to the states. They intend to allow the states to violate the Constitution willy nilly, as has been the case in the past few years involving women’s rights and voting rights, both of which have been under assault from white nationalist states where Republicans, often in the minority, believe they have the right to shove their beliefs down the throats of the rest of us. Very often these Republicans are Christian nationalists who believe they have the right to shove their “christian” values down all of our throats and, unfortunately, they’ve got a corrupt Christian nationalist majority on the “Supreme” court that has been granting them the right to do this both in making discrimination legal and in taking healthcare away from women. So on this Independence Day it is hard to celebrate American freedom because of recent decisions by the Trump “Supreme” Court which have not only curtailed the rights of the people but have radically boosted the power of the president by granting him/her a clearly unconstitutional immunity from the rule of law. This criminal act was committed by six members of the court, three of whom are directly indebted to their patron, Donald Trump, and with the strong dissent of the three pro-American justices on the court.
IMAGE INSERTED: The Anti-Constitutional Six
Yesterday I argued that Trump violated the Constitution on Jann. 6, 2021 when he led an armed mob to attack the Capitol specifically on the day when Congress is constitutionally obligated to record the transfer of power from the outgoing president to the incoming. Outgoing, of course, was Trump; incoming was Biden. This was an organized coup attempt headed by Trump as proved by both the impeachment that resulted from it as well as the investigation of the January 6 Commission, which uncovered an extensive and elaborate plot to end American democracy with Trump at the head of every aspect of it. Trump has been charged with a multitude crimes and so far has been convicted of 34 of them (along with sexual assault and financial fraud) but he has yet to be charged with the Constitutional crime of treason, another open and shut case should it ever be brought. Here again is the section of the Constitution that defines treason:
Article III, Section 3, Clause 1: Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying War against them, or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort. No Person shall be convicted of Treason unless on the testimony of two Witnesses to the same overt Act, or on Confession in open Court.
But it’s not just Trump who violated this article of the Constitution. The "Supreme" Court itself violated Article III, Section 3 of the Constitution when it gave "aid and comfort" (immunity) to a man who tried to overthrow the government. Never before has such a power even been contemplated because never before has there been a Supreme Court so beholden to a former president so corrupt. The six “justices” who overruled the other three as well as the Constitution itself must be brought up on charges of treason. By granting Trump this power they have given “aid and comfort,” specifically prohibited by the Constitution, to a man who attempted to violently and otherwise overthrow the government of the United States. The six who have awarded this “aid and comfort” to their patron must be put on trial immediately before the November election because this immunity has removed the possibility that Trump himself will face the charges that have been hanging over his head now for more than a year, delayed by this very “supreme” court as well as by a corrupt Florida MAGA judge by the name of Aileen Cannon, for whom Trump, too, is her benefactor. The case is open and shut against these six. Trump is taking so much “comfort” in their ruling that he is already vowing to weaponize the justice department should get get back into the white House and use it openly to jail and execute his political opponents including Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer and Liz Cheney among many others. The “aid” is also obvious - the delay of justice in all of the cases pending against Trump until at after the election at the very least. So put these corrupt people on trial and do it now. These six so called “justices” will be found guilty of treason by a jury of their peers (superiors actually) and will be removed from their seats on the court. Their sentences will be left up to the rule of the law and the discretion of the judge who oversees their trial but don’t expect any remorse from any of them. Like Trump, they consider themselves above the very law they’re supposed to be upholding. Just another reason to be rid of them once and for all.
